Scholarship[편집]

- Obtained degrees in Choir Conducting in both bachelor’s and master’s at St. Petersburg State Conservatory

- Obtained degrees in Orchestral Conducting in both bachelor’s and master’s at St. Petersburg State Conservatory

- Obtained Ph.D. in Musical education at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.

Carrer[편집]

Eunsook Park has led the Gracias Choir, which was established in the year of 2000 with only eight members, for more than 20 years achieving significant improvements. Park is the “Thinking Artist,” who has passionately led each member of the choir to establish a choir that produces the unprecedented sound. Since 2008, Park achieved numerous awards from prominent Choral Competitions both internationally and domestically with Boris Abalyan, the Russian conductor.

- Grand Prize at Mixed Category in 2009 Jeju International Choral Festival

- Grand Prize at Mixed Category and 2nd prize at Women’s Category in 2010 Busan International Choral Festival.

- Grand Prize at Mixed Category at 2014 Riva del Garda Choral Festival and Competition, Italy.

- Grand Prize at Mixed Category in 2014 Montreux Choral Festival, Switzerland.

- Grand Prize at Mixed Category and Special award in 2015 International Chamber Choir Competition Marktoberdorf, Germany.

Gracias Choir consecutively won Grand Prizes from most renowned Choral Competitions in Europe. Among them, Gracias Choir has received the Grand Prize at the most renowned Marktoberdorf International Choir Competition and contributed to introduce the Korea to the worldwide musical world.

Under her motto of “Music is Change,” Park strongly believes that music could change human minds. With her strong belief, Park has visited the number of famous theaters to perform. Moreover, Park not only was invited from the various head of the states from different countries but also, she visited the remote area in Africa, and she is performing more than 200 performances in 20 countries annually. With a clear tone and touching harmony, she is conveying comforts and hopes to people’s hearts.

Their most popular production is Gracias Christmas Cantata. Park currently serves as conductor and artistic director for the Cantata. She closely manages every facet of the performance—she is responsible for the script, the acting, the music, choreography, and stage direction.

Gracias Christmas Cantata is performed in Korea, the United States, Africa, Europe, and South America every

year, and it has gained huge popularity in the United States. So far, Gracias Choir has performed 171 performances in 40 different cities across 28 states, reaching a total of 500,000 attendees.  

Gracias Christmas Cantata has comforted the citizens of Las Vegas while they grieved the deadliest massacre in modern history. It has touched the citizens of New Orleans, where they mourn for the lost families from Hurricane Katrina. And it has moved the citizens of Detroit, a city that has long suffered from bankruptcy and despair.

Both state and local government and media have shown interest in this special project. The city of Fort Wayne, Indiana has declared September 18th (the date for Gracias Christmas Cantata in Fort Wayne) as Christmas Cantata Day. Moreover, Christmas Cantata Day was also proclaimed in Springfield, MO, Kansas City, Denver, Orlando, Birmingham, San Antonio, and El Paso. Additionally, states such as Illinois, Missouri, and California, and cities such as Las Vegas, Houston, Kent, and Salt Lake City have presented Letters of Appreciation for the Choir’s performances and their altruism. Furthermore, FOX TV, NBC, ABC, Univision, Telemundo, TV Azteca, and KUED 7 have introduced Gracias Christmas Cantata as a precious gift and an important reminder of the love that America must not forget.

Educational Activity[편집]

She was not satisfied with her own musical career. Therefore, she dispatched numerous music instructors to different countries where music education was insufficient and stablished numbers of music schools. Currently, she has established music schools in 15 countries, including the Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Peru, Argentina, Vietnam, India, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Uganda, and Kiribati. More than 1,300 local students have enrolled to date.
