신 도서관 5법칙[편집]
신 도서관 5법칙의 내용은 다음과 같다.
제1법칙 : 도서관은 인류를 위해 봉사하라 (Libraries serve humanity) 제2법칙 : 인간의 지식을 전달하는 모든 형태의 매체를 소중하게 생각하라 (Respect all forms by which knowledge is communicated) 제3법칙 : 도서관 봉사를 증대하기 위하여 기술을 현명하게 활용하라 (Use technology intelligently to enhance service) 제4법칙 : 누구에게나 자유로운 지식의 접근을 보장하라 (Protect free access to knowledge) 제5법칙 : 과거를 존중하고 미래를 창조하라 (Honor the past and create the future)
