- 2020년 8월 15일 일부 신도들이 보건당국의 지시를 무시하고 2020년 광복절 문재인 정부 규탄 대국민 시위에 참석했다.
- 2020년 8월 사랑제일교회에서 코로나19가 발생하여 교회 방문자를 조사하기 위해 방명록을 검사했지만 부정확한 내용으로 사랑제일교회와 관련이 없는 사람들까지 코로나19 검사를 받아야 했다.[2]
