크리스티 샤오(Christie Hsiao)는 대만 태생으로, 현재 미국 비버리힐즈에서 영화제작자겸 작가로 활동하고 있다. 글로벌 엔터테인먼트 회사인 Serenity Media Group(2010)를 직접 설립해 영화 등 디지털 미디어 콘텐츠 제작, 유통에도 관여하고 있다. 2013년에는 환자지 소설 'Journey to Rainbow Island'를 출간해 작가로 데뷔했으며, 뉴욕타임즈 베스트셀러 작가에 이름을 올렸다. 영화 Pool Boys(2011)과 That Game of Chess(2005)에서는 배우로도 활약한 적이 있다.

로스앤젤레스에 있는 캘리포니아 대학(University of California)에서 커뮤니케이션과 동아시아학을 공부했다. 페퍼다인 대학( Pepperdine University)에서 MBA 학위를 받았으며 이후 뉴욕에서 영화를 공부했다.
경력[편집]
영화 The Gold Retrievers(2009), Dark Honeymoon(2008) and Love is the Drug(2006)에서 Consulting Producer로 참여했으며, 영화 Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return(2013)에서는 Senior Production Executive로 활약했다. 영화 Pool Boys(2011)과 That Game of Chess(2005)에서는 배우로도 활약한 바 있다.[1]
