소계남

발포만호(鉢浦萬戶) 소계남(蘇季男)(1562(명종17)~생몰미상)은 태인현(전라북도 정읍시)사람으로 1591년에 무과급제하였으며 1597년 명량해전에 전라좌수영 소속으로 참전하였다. 1600년에 월곶첨사로 부임하였으나 1601년에 파직되었다 발포진은 지금에 전라남도 고흥군 도화면 발포리(발포항)이다. 부친은 소유(蘇游)이고, 자는 여윤(汝胤)이다.

헌부가 아뢰기를,
월곶 첨사(月串僉使) 소계남(蘇季男)은 본직에 제수할 때 돈으로 장수를 샀다는 기롱(譏弄)이 있어 모두 놀라와하니, 파직을 명하소서. 하니, 아뢴 대로 하라고 답하였다.(선조실록)[1]
